Dr. Anthony Levatino went from committing over 1,200 abortion procedures to becoming a Pro-life activist.
In a podcast interview with Christine Yeargin, Levantino details a horrific mistake made on the surgical table. Without the assistance of a colleague, and the sterile availability of an operating room, this woman’s life could have been at risk.
“I reached in with that clamp and I looked at the arm pulled out and stopped. After all those years and all those abortions, for the first time in my career I looked, I mean I really looked at that pile of body parts. And I didn’t see her wonderful right to choose. And I didn’t see what a great doctor I was helping her with her problem, and I didn’t even see the $2,300 cash I just made in 15 minutes. All I could see was someone’s son or daughter. And that was the beginning of the end for me.”
God transformed abortionist
Later in the interview, Levantino describes abortionists who quit their jobs due to disgust and hopelessness that procedures entailed.
He also shared a story of a Pro-Life activists who prayed for the abortionists in her town. One man in particular, she prayed for by name, including his wife and children. After speaking at a local high-school, the abortionist’s daughter came home to share the presentation details to her parents: “I just don’t understand how a doctor could do that to a baby,” the girl remarked. Little to her knowledge, her own father was an abortionist. Afraid his daughter would find out what he did, he quit his job.
“She prayed for the abortionist, his wife, and children for months and months by name,” Levantino remarked. “And God used her to witness to her own father.”
