A female prisoner with a 95-year sentence testified to the miracle she experienced in Jesus. Today, she is involved in her local church’s praise and worship team.
Female Prisoner with 95-year sentence
The female inmate recalled how she received the penalty for her sin. When she was 22 years old, she drove home at 3 in the morning while intoxicated with alcohol. She lost control of her car and crashed into a nightclub.
Many people died at the scene. It was even presumed that she was among the casualties. However, when a police officer grabbed her leg to retrieve her presumed dead body, she gasped for breath.
The officers rushed her to the hospital to resuscitate her. But when she found out what she had done, she only wished they hadn’t brought her back to life.
Facing a sentence of 95 years in prison, she felt hopeless and miserable.
But then, an opportunity arose, and the judge reduced her sentence to 8 years. Overwhelmed with support, she decided to give back. She said, “I decided to give back in any way I could and try to help others not make the same mistakes I once made. I spoke out on a crime prevention team of inmates for 2 years, sharing my story all over.
Turning to Christ
She was finally free 7 years later but relapsed. She once again drowned in drugs and alcohol.
Seeking help, she turned to a friend who eventually introduced her to her future husband.
The man led her to Christ, and she received new life in Jesus. Today, she is now part of her local church’s worship team.
“I sing on my church’s worship team,” she shared. “And I love Jesus more than anything else in this world. He is why I am alive, free, have a family, and have joy, peace, and hope. He gave me so many ‘second chances.'”
She added, “I want people to understand what can truly result because of one bad choice, but I wish to tell others what God can do in the worst situations.”
