Are you expecting something from God? Or are you discouraged lately and no longer expect anything good in your life?
“Prosekodon” or Expecting
In another episode of “It’s All Greek To Me” with Pastor Chris Demetriou, the host discusses the Greek word “prosekodon.” The word is translated as “expectation.” And using this word, he has a powerful message to the body of Christ.

The word expectation can be read in Philippians 1:20, “…according to my earnest expectation (prosekodon) and hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed…”
In this verse, Paul the Apostle’s “earnest expectation was that he will not be ashamed in anything,” stressed the pastor. And the reason for it was so that Christ will be magnified in his body, whether by life or by death. For according to him, to live is Christ, and to die is gain (Ephesians 1:5).
What Is Your Expectation?
Now, he further explained the law of expectation and asks, “What is your expectation today?” and he pointed that out what we confidently expect will come to pass. It works both for positive and negative expectations.
How To Deal With Insecurity And Feelings Of Rejection
“Are you expecting something good to happen today? Or have you woken up and it’s just another day and you’re just hoping that something good, or you’re fearful that something bad is going to happen?” the host asked.

This is a question we all should ponder because our life is shaped by our thoughts. And it’s never too late to expect something great from God for He is good.
Further, he explained, “if you’re fearful that something bad is going to happen.. something bad will happen. However, if you are expecting something good to happen, then the good God that is watching over you will make something good happen.”
Again, you can change your mind right now, “What do you expect from God?” Let’s expect something greater! Remember that in Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Let Christ manifest in your life and be expectant.
