In today’s lesson, we’re going to discuss the trustworthiness of God. Matthew 6:33 says, “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” So, what does that mean, practically? To me, it means that I don’t have to worry about it. I don’t have to worry about my daily challenges. I don’t have to sweat it. It’s one of the many promises made to us that we can depend upon.
In Romans 8, Paul says all things come together for the good of those who love God. Just a few verses earlier in Matthew 6, it says, don’t worry about the things we tend to find worrisome because God knows exactly what you need. Guess what? God is not surprised by the circumstances we find ourselves in. He knows it. He sees it. He’s not surprised by any of it. He doesn’t go, “Oh, Gabriel, would you look at the mess Jim has made again. I’m so surprised by him.” No, but do you know that Matthew 6:33 is an open invitation to those who love Him to partner with Him in righteousness and to seek His face in all situations. He loves you enough to want to be involved with you every day, even in the smallest of things.

Father, I just thank you, Lord, that you love us that much, that you want to be involved in the smallest of our activities. There is nothing too small and nothing too large for us to bring to you. You have the answers Lord. And Lord, we are so, so fortunate to have a God like you. We praise you. We thank you every day that we draw breath, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
