Even If You’re Afraid
In an episode of Grace Grace, hosts Nina Keegan and Michelle Humphreys have a word of encouragement for those who are afraid. For the things that you’re afraid of, step out and the Lord will do something about it. Nina emphasized that our fear is of the devil. Whenever God is calling us into something greater, the enemy will always try to instill fear in our hearts to stop us from doing it.
“A lot of times, the fear is just keeping us from living our best life, keeping us from going out there, doing it afraid, going to get that which God’s called you to do. A lot of times, fears are of the devil just holding you back from that,” Nina said.
Do Something
But God knows about your fear and He will do something great for you. You just have to take the first step.
“Don’t downgrade your dreams to match your reality, upgrade your faith to match your destiny. Let God meet you on His playing field. God knows about the fears that you have,” she added.
Michelle then quoted W. Clement Stone to highlight that our actions can overcome our fear.
“’Thinking will not overcome fear, but action will.’ And sometimes we just need to take action… If you just start working on it, do it today, do it now, and watch God take over,” Michelle said.
No matter what our fear is, no matter how great or small it is, God is greater. If you are afraid to do something, remember that you just have to do it. Overcome your fear by knowing who God is in your life. Cross that chicken line and have faith.
“Whatever our fear is, we have to know that God is greater than our fear. And if we’ll just take action in that direction, even if it’s a snake, go and get something.”
