In one of his speaking engagements, evangelist Daniel Kolenda asserted that Christians can do many things without the Holy Spirit. What did he mean by it?

Many Christians today profess that they can do nothing without God. But what they don’t realize is that they keep doing things outside of God. And so, Daniel reminded believers of the profound truth. Reinhard Bonke’s successor states that Christians can do ministries, plant churches, or even pray without God.
“There are many things we can do without Him,” he said. “We can have church without Him… pray without Him… worship without Him… build organizations without Him… give to the poor without Him.. preach the Gospel without Him.”
Without the Holy Spirit
Then, Daniel recalled one story of a missionary who brought a pastor of an underground church in China to America. This missionary toured the pastor around the megachurches in the city.
“They went around and let him [pastor] see all the amazing things that were happening in these megachurches,” Daniel narrated. “And at the end of the tour, he said to this Chinese underground pastor, ‘What do you think of everything that you saw?'”
The pastor replied, “I’m amazed how much the Americans can do without the Holy Spirit.”
However, Daniel believes that no matter how much one can achieve, without God, it amounts to nothing in the end.
“All of those things that we do without Him, amount, at the end of the day, to precisely nothing.”
John 15:5 says, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from Me, you can do nothing.”
Daniel preached, “Without God, you can do nothing. You can do a lot of nothing. You can just line up zeros but if there’s not a one in front of the zeros, they’re all worthless.”
“We got to put the one back in its place, and the one is Jesus!”
