A woman who went through divorce and breast cancer remained faithful to God in her tithing despite the adversities. And now, God’s redemptive power has become very evident in her life.
Financial Struggle
Matika Garrison took custody of her three children after suffering from an abusive marriage for nine years. Soon, she struggled financially with processing her divorce while raising her children. The mom soon exhausted all her funds to save her home and finalize her divorce papers. On top of that, Matika had to carry all financial burdens by herself without support from her ex-husband after her divorce.

Years later, another challenge arose as the single mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. As a result, her bills piled up all the more due to her chemo treatment. But despite the financial struggle, Matika remained faithful to her giving of tithes to God. She continued to trust God with her finances.
Fruit Of Her Tithing
God never failed Matika. Months later, she got a promotion in her job, which enabled her to pay all her debts and medical expenses. Later on, Matika also won the battle against cancer. She was finally cancer-free.

Today, Matika encourages believers to be faithful to God on how they handle money matters. To just take the first step even if you are struggling financially. And to rely upon and trust God to provide.
“If you begin your tithing, you will see God moving in your life,” Matika remarked. “You will see a hunger for the Word like never before.”
GOD’S WORD FOR YOU TODAY: JESUS IS YOUR FRIEND
Indeed, we could never out-give God. He loves to bless His children and provide for them. We only need to trust Him and do what is right in His sight, no matter the circumstance. After all, He is good.
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?” -Matthew 6:25-26
