A man who tried to discover his purpose in the world shared a beautiful story of how he found true fulfillment in Jesus.
Discover His Purpose
A Christian man named Dorian shared a powerful testimony of his relationship with Jesus. Church has always been part of his life. He grew up attending a Pentecostal church and already knew about God. However, he never formed a relationship with Him until he was in his teens. He tried to follow in his parents’ footsteps, who exemplified God’s love in a great way. However, it was difficult for him to connect with God on a personal level because the rules and regulations where he grew up were a little bit daunting for him.
In his childhood years, he went through depression and anxiety because he tried to find his purpose in the world rather than in Christ. And when he went to college, he turned away from Jesus. He tried using drugs, drinking alcohol, and having sex to find his purpose, but none of those things were fulfilling for him.
Going Back to Church
“It didn’t occur to me who Jesus was until I found a church in New York City called C3 NYC. This was during the height of the pandemic when the whole world was shut down. And everyone was basically searching for purpose,” he shared.

Furthermore, he felt a calling to go back to church and come back home to Jesus. After that, he had an unforgettable experience that changed his life. He felt the Holy Spirit moving in the midst and received a love that other people, things, or accomplishments could not fulfill.
True Fulfillment In Jesus
“Jesus was the only one for me who could fill, who could fulfill that void that was missing in my heart all these years. And once He filled that void, I was on fire for Christ,” he testified. Since then, he started serving God and allowed Him to use his life for His glory.
Moreover, he also shared the difficult season that God allowed him to go through. He was in a season of waiting wherein his faith and trust were being tested. But despite this, he stressed, “God is always near to me. And that’s something that I never really discovered before had I not gone through what I’m going through today. In the midst of the waiting, He’s the one who’s nearest to me. In the midst of the waiting, he’s the one who still chooses to be my friend.”
He believed that despite uncertainty, he could still rely on God’s unfailing love.
