Pastor David John Philips shared a meaningful and powerful prayer that husbands could pray for their wives.

The pastor of Real Church Florida, David John Philips, gave profound advice to Christian husbands. He encouraged them to pray for their wives before they went to work. He also emphasized the importance of showing affection to them like hugging, kissing, and looking straight into their eyes. Then, he shared a powerful prayer they could declare for their wives. He urged them to express how much they loved and how happy they were to be their husbands.
Then, he uttered this beautiful prayer:
“Lord God, I thank you for this beautiful woman that you gave me as a gift. I pray that you will bless her day today. And let her experience your presence in a real way. Challenge her to grow. And Father, teach me to be the man that you gave to her. Teach me to reflect your love and your passion for her in a real way. And may I only ever speak over her what you say about her. Thank you, Lord God, for the honor of getting to her husband.”

Declaring a Prayer
Furthermore, he mentioned that declaring the prayer would be uncomfortable for the husbands. They would feel nervous if they had never done it before. Still, he reminded them to step outside their comfort zones and start walking in obedience. And if, by chance, their wives would insist that they don’t have to do it, he still encouraged them to do it anyway. Moreover, he shared that husbands, in a marriage relationship, should supposed to be the leader.
“Leaders don’t do stuff just because their followers like it or don’t like it. Leaders do stuff because it’s right and it’s healthy, and it’s holy. So step up and lead your wife by being affectionate for her in that way,” he explained.
