A daughter testified how God healed her mother’s alcoholism.
Daughter testified
Sidney Martin stood up in front of the congregation to boast of what the Lord has done for her and her mother. When she was growing up, she noticed that her mother struggled with alcoholism. To try to help her overcome that issue, she tried to do good in her studies.
“My mother struggled with alcoholism growing up. She wasn’t ever like abusive or anything but that was just something that really had a hold on her life. That’s all she could think about, it consumed her every day. I remember when I was younger, I didn’t know God and I was just trying to fix her. Like I want to do all these things so that she would stop drinking,” she recalled.

Mother’s alcoholism
When she was 16, she got saved and started a relationship with Jesus Christ. That’s also when she started to pray for her mother’s healing from alcoholism. But she was still trying to heal her in her own ways.
“I started praying to God about but I was still in that mindset of like I have to work to get to stop drinking.”
It was only in 2020 that she fully surrendered her mother’s alcoholism to Jesus. It was at that moment that she realized that she could not heal her, only God could.
“God, I’m realizing that I can’t control this anymore. I can’t fix her. This is not my issue, You can only fix her. I’m fully placing my trust in You.”
Today, she is testifying ithe good news that God has healed her mother!
“I’m very proud to say that today, she’s been sober for over a month which is an absolute miracle.”
