In an interview with CBN News discussing her upcoming Christmas film “A Royal Date for Christmas,” actress Danica McKellar shared her personal faith journey and how she came to accept Christ. She recounted the pivotal moment when she realized the tangible reality of Christ’s presence in her life.

When asked by the CBN host, the actress shared the impactful day when she experienced the presence of God. She vividly recalled the moment when everyone applauded her for her courageous act. However, she humbly expressed that it didn’t feel like a display of bravery, as she felt immensely blessed throughout the experience.
“When you experience something that is so beautiful and so wonderful and so life-changing, you want everyone to feel that,” Danica explained.
The Holy Spirit Touched Her
She also mentioned that fellow actress Candace Cameron Bure invited her to a Passion play last year, which had a profound impact on her. It was during this play that the Gospel resonated deeply with her, and as a result, she had a transformative encounter with the Lord on April 10, 2022.
“It just hit me,” she recalled. “Everything hit me. The Holy Spirit came to me… It was like a wave of love and understanding hit me..”

At that point, Danica felt that her search for something to fill the void in her life was finally answered. Her preconceived notions about Christianity, which were previously negative, suddenly vanished. She used to perceive Christians as judgmental and the cause of conflicts based on the news she often heard. However, when she personally experienced Christ, her perspective completely transformed.
Today, Danica passionately attests, “This is the most miraculous, amazing, incredible gift in the whole wide world. And I just want people to feel that they are not alone. That there’s love for you at any time, and it’s such a gift.”
Since then, the actress openly embraces her Christian faith without hiding it from the public. It has been a year and a half since her encounter, and she has never been the same again.
