John didn’t understand what the Gospel really meant even though his Grandma and Mom always talked about it. Not until her daughter was born.
A revelation from God was revealed to him through his daughter who was learning to climb up the stairs in their home. He reached out his hand to her but his daughter rejected his help and simply looked at him and imitated how he did it. She was stubborn because she can’t really climb the stairs. But when John reached out his hand to her again and she took his hand, she was finally able to successfully climb up the stairs.
“You know there’s this promise of eternal life and God knows that we can’t achieve it on our own. So what He did was He sent His only begotten Son to come down to our level to the bottom of the stairs. He was a baby in a manger, so He had to come down to our level, human being just to show us that it’s possible to achieve eternal life. God promised us the gift of eternal life and He’s constantly reaching out for us but we’re stubborn, we don’t wanna reach back. Jesus had to come down as a man to show us what man can do if only we reach out to God. And that’s the Gospel”, says John.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16).
