Kendrick Brothers
On October 26, award-winning filmmakers Alex and Stephen Kendrick announced that they will be re-releasing blockbuster Christian film “Courageous” in 2021. The film will contain new scenes and a surprising new ending.
According to the brothers, the viewers “will get to see what happens to many of the characters ten years later! It’s a new ending with a few surprises!”
“Courageous”
“Courageous” was initially released in 2011 with only a $2 million production budget. The film became a huge hit with over $35.2 million gross profit! The Christian film is about Sheriff’s deputy Adam Mitchell played by Alex Kendrick who faced a personal tragedy that tested his faith in God.
Adam “endures a terrible personal tragedy that causes him to question what is really important to him. Taking comfort in his religion, Adam vows to become a better parent to his teenage son (Rusty Martin), and convinces his friends on the force to sign a pledge that they will all strive to become better Christians and better parents,” the film synopsis reads.
Upcoming Christian Film
Following the success of their 2019 film “Overcomer,” the filmmakers are preparing to release another Christian film in 2021.
“We are shooting a movie this summer,” Alex said in an interview. “We’re very excited about that and it’s a true story and it’s going to grab your heart. We love it!” he exclaimed.
The Kendrick brothers are used to creating original content such as their No. 1 Box Office hit “War Room.”
“We normally do write our own movies but this one was so powerful when we read it and we saw how it was very timely for today’s culture,” Alex added.
