Since the newest teen Christian singer’s debut single, “My Jesus,” she has become well-known, and her song even hit Top 1 on the Billboard chart for Christian music.

In an interview with Billboard, Anne expressed her gratefulness, especially how God is using her as a vessel.
“I’ve been blown away by how God has been using My Jesus to impact so many lives,” she said. “I’m so honored that He chose me to be His vessel for this specific time and season.”

More importantly, the 19-year-old singer revealed her favorite part of the music. And it’s something noble and purposeful.
“My favorite part so far has been seeing people sing My Jesus at shows to the top of their lungs,” she added. “And hearing stories of how they’ve been impacted by the song. I would’ve never dreamed that God would use this song in such a mighty way.”
Apparently, the popular Christian artist Matthew West and Anne worked together and authored the song. Also, Along with music producer Jeff Pardo.
Her Journey
In a report by CBN News, the teen grew up playing music in Lexington, Kentucky. The musical instrument she plays is the piano. A producer scouted her in Nashville after posting a cover of Hillsong’s popular worship music “What a Beautiful Name” with her friends. That eventually landed him in working with Capitol Christian Music, according to Religion News.
Brother Died
At 15-years-old, Anne performed for the first time in front of an audience. However, it was for a very heartbreaking reason—her brother’s funeral. Her brother died in a car accident at 23-years-old. The unfortunate event inspired her to share the song she and her friends posted on YouTube that caught the producer’s attention.
“This song is dedicated to the loving memory of my beloved big brother, Jacob,” Anne wrote on the video cover. “Thank you Jacob for always encouraging us to praise God, work hard, and always be kind. We love and miss you more each and every day.”
My Jesus
Today, with the success of Anne’s debut single, she was shocked but at the same time genuinely grateful.
“It’s been a whirlwind of emotions,” she told Religion News. “Just thankfulness and gratefulness, watching God take my story, which was something so broken, and turning it into something so beautiful.”
