What It Means To Be A Christian
Nowadays, the word Christian has become a cliché term for people. There are several identifications that people had set to know that a person is a Christian. One of the most obvious signs is when a person attends church services on Sundays. Also, he or she knows about Jesus and believes in Him. And for some, these people serve God in the church.
When a person wears any shirt or stuff on his body with a “cross” symbol, then many would immediately assume that the person is a Christian. Furthermore, when a person is not a Muslim, some would claim that he or she belonged to Christianity. But what does it mean to be a Christian? Do these things define a follower of Christ?

According to Wikipedia, a Christian is described as embodying qualities that are noble, good, and Christ-like in nature. Therefore, a genuine Christian is recognized by their actions, demonstrating pure love, authentic faith, and virtuous deeds. While these attributes hold, Francis Chan emphasizes that being a Christian fundamentally entails finding satisfaction in God’s love daily.
Receiving God’s Love
Francis stressed the importance of acknowledging and joyfully receiving God’s love each day with a heart filled with gratitude.

“Every morning you wake up and you’re satisfied,” he said. “You’re satisfied that God loves you. You recognize how steadfast, like to know that the God of the Universe loves you, desires you. And it’s steady, it satisfies you every morning. And we can rejoice all the days of our life. This is what it means to be a Christian.”
Embracing God’s love daily, akin to an ever-flowing fountain, leads to an overflowing abundance in one’s life. Consequently, a true follower of Christ naturally becomes a beacon of love, kindness, peace, and joy, radiating these qualities to those around them.
“Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.” -Psalm 90:14
