Former Hallmark stars Candace Cameron Bure and Danica McKellar are excited to announce their starring role in the new films of the Great American Family Channel (GAC).
Great American Family Channel
Candace revealed last month that her new movie will be Christmas-themed. She wrote on her Instagram, “SO HAPPY to announce that Candy Rock Entertainment is underway with their first Christmas movie of the season starring … me.”
“A Christmas .. present” will be its title to premiere in November.
Bill Abott GAC Media CEO said that the movie is part of the network’s new series. “We are thrilled to be launching Great American Community with 15 new, always-on series,” he said. It will be “topical, relatable, and hosted by our growing family of recognizable talent.”
“This new platform represents an important evolution of the company’s digital strategy. And it gives our passionate fans a fun and engaging new way to interact with our stars in a trusted, family-friendly environment, 365 days a year.”
It can be remembered that Candace left the Hallmark Network months ago. “I am constantly looking for ways that I can inspire people to live life with purpose,” she said. “GAC fits my brand perfectly; we share a vision of creating compelling, wholesome content for an audience who wants to watch programming for and with the whole family.”
Candace and Danica
Danica McKellar, also a former Hallmark star, joined with Candace in the GAC. She recently shared how Candace inspired her in her faith journey.
Candace wrote in Danica’s Instagram page, “God’s love is bigger than any human love and when He sweeps you up in understanding how powerful it is, because He is, it’s undeniable. Praying for you on your journey and relationship with Jesus my sweet friend.”
And just like her dear friend, Danica will also be starring in GAC’s “Christmas At The Drive-In.” The network will release it on the Thanksgiving weekend.
She shared to Yahoo News her excitement.
“I’m thrilled to be executive producing and starring in my very first-holiday movie for Great American Family, Christmas at the Drive-In.”
“My career started with the very nostalgic show, The Wonder Years, perhaps that’s why I love nostalgia so much. And I love my fans who have been on this journey with me so long!”
