A Bronx rapper and social media influencer who walked away from God after a painful experience encountered Jesus face to face.
Bronx Rapper Angie Rose
Angie Rose grew up knowing Jesus in her heart. As a pastor’s daughter and the youngest of 11 siblings, she came to know the Lord at a very young age. That’s why desipte growing up in a neighborhood exposed to drugs and alcohol, she was passionate about winning the lost to Christ.

As a result, Angie was on fire for God in a seemingly desolate place in their neighborhood.
“I want to be a part of my community, be in the world, but not of it,” she recalled. “Understand the pain but bring a solution not just live in it.”
Angie loved God so much that she even went to other places to share the love of God. But something unexpected unfolded in her life one day that suddenly changed the course of her life.
Walking Away From God & Encountering Jesus
At 15 years old, Angie’s niece and nephew died and she began questioning God about the tragedy that plagued their family.

“We’re not supposed to go through this, we love You, we serve You,” she confronted God at the time.
Later, Angie’s bitterness grew as she couldn’t handle the pain. Soon, she began to rebel and slowly grew cold towards God, eventually leading her to turn her back on Him.

Soon after, Angie left the church and started drinking and doing drugs. It then became an addiction to numb her pain. She felt empty and hurt. But Angie continued walking on that dark path for several years.
One day, God encountered the Bronx rapper in the middle of her mess. Jesus met her face to face.
“I heard God… when I opened my eyes I see feet..” she recounted.
