2020 will be here before we know it, and I’m so excited to be a witness to all that God is doing in our lives! God is using this time, and all of our experiences, to refine us and mold us, in a way that He can better use us. These seasons of trials are, no doubt, preparing us for what is to come, and I do believe we’re all making a difference, in this world, when we choose to pick up our cross and follow Him.
This last year, having been separated from my spouse, was an extremely difficult time for me, as well as my family. Divorce is a very painful experience. It affects more than just the two parties involved. It was my choice to remain faithful, no matter what his choices had been. It was my heart to walk-out this process of change, taking place in my life, allowing for an extensive healing to take place, instead.
How can we better become God’s people in seeking reconciliation with one another, and in ultimately, forgiving the people who have hurt us?
I’ve learned that I must put God first in my life. I’ve got to let go of what I know I do not have control over and willfully, give it to Him. We are each being given this free will, and I do know that I’m better off when my choices line up with His.
Counting Our Blessings
I’m learning to count each blessing, as I get them, and to mark each progress report (praise report), as I can.
Where the enemy can seemingly cause much grief and heartache in our lives, Jesus bridges the gap for each one of us. It is through His ultimate sacrifice, on the cross, that His grace continuously moves in our lives.
Life has a way of moving uncontrollably fast; but, God has a way of shifting and moving things around in His timing, protecting us from further disaster. It’s trusting in His will (for our lives) that will, indeed, supernaturally, secure our future.
We’re learning to release the wrongs in our lives, trusting God for this vindication. Where there’s a will to let go, and allow God, there is a way through to receive this necessary direction.
Forgiveness
Forgiveness is the ultimate medicine, and we all need triple doses of that now-a-days. As I continue to build up my immune system to the many worldly offenses, I am also better able to forgive others for their wrongdoings.
With all the trials and tribulations this world may bring us, the Lord is always making a way for us. We can confront without offending. We can learn the steps of effective conversation, learning to communicate, producing a unified understanding that will help bring us together for this much-needed healing.
I’ve declared in my heart that my mind (body) and soul are His. And though the future still isn’t 100% clear, I do know that He is making a way for me, no matter what my circumstances may be.
God is good, all the time, and His mercies are new every morning! No matter what our choices in life may have been, He does watch over us, to guide us, continuing to love each one of us, unconditionally, and as we all learn to do the same.
With renewed hope, and a willing spirit, together, we can make 2020 a better year!
