God’s Word For Today: You Are Made Worthy By The Blood Of Jesus

“Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus,” Hebrew 10:19

“For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.” Colossians 1:19-20

Today’s Message:

We are cleansed and purified by the precious blood of Christ. Through it, we are now deemed worthy and righteous before God. We can enter confidently into His Presence.

Moreover, the beautiful part of Jesus’ shedding His blood for you, is that He did not look at how deserving you are. Because if He did, no one would be qualified. But, He shed His blood for everyone who receives Him regardless of background, race, or past lives. After all, everyone is made for Him.

In the same way, when God was passing over during the tenth plague in Egypt, He did not check who was worthy behind the house doors. He checked the blood on the doorposts.

No one is worthy. Only that He made us worthy. Shalom.

Today’s Message:

We grow up learning to stand on our own and try not to rely on others as much as possible. But, this has built an independent character within us. It may not be wrong to do so, but we depend on ourselves more than on God.

But, God created us not for independence. He made us reliant on Him. When Eve tried to be independent, she gave in to the enemy’s temptations.

And God is telling you right now that you don’t need to be strong in front of Him. You can let go and allow Him to hold everything that you bear. It is not your burden alone. God loves you, and His plan for you is good. His yoke is easy, and His burden is light.

So, come to Him and surrender your heaviness. You are safe in Him. Shalom!

If you feel like you’re losing everything, remember that trees lose their leaves every year, and they still stand tall and wait for better days to come.

Sometimes, people get stuck in the glory of the past. God never gets rusty, never gets overworked, never loses fresh ideas, and never loses creativity. If we stay in the past, we won’t see the new things that He enjoys doing. Remember, old wineskins burst when new wine is poured in!

God’s overall plan isn’t finished yet. Being saved by grace through faith was only the starting line of what God has done and will do to, in, and through us! God’s not done with you yet, so keep believing for better days in Him no matter what happens.

Today, God is telling you that your answered prayers will lead others to God.

Whatever you are praying for right now, don’t stop asking God for it because it will bless others. It will introduce them to the goodness of God, and consequently, they will get to praise Jesus, too.

You will be a blessing to others. Just make sure that you will point people to God and not to yourself.

So, today, persist in your prayers and be a testimony of God’s goodness. Tell others about your God and pray for them. Let us be intentional in sharing the good news of Jesus. Shalom!

God’s Word for the Day: Strengthening Yourself in the Lord

The tool to strengthen yourself in the Lord can be found throughout the life of David as he faced trials and challenges, yet he learned how to seek the Lord. His example teaches you and I valuable lessons on how to strengthen ourselves in the Lord amidst adversity.

What Does the Bible Say?

“David strengthened himself in the Lord his God.” Psalm 63:8

David’s encounter with Goliath in 1 Samuel 17 illustrates the importance of trusting and strengthening yourself in the Lord rather than relying on your own abilities. Despite being faced with a formidable opponent, David declared, “The Lord who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine” (1 Samuel 17:37, ESV). David’s unwavering faith in God’s power enabled him to face the giant with courage and confidence.

In Psalm 27:1, David affirms, “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” David’s trust in the Lord as his source of strength and protection empowered him to overcome fear and uncertainty. He recognized that true strength comes from aligning oneself with the Almighty.

During times of distress and persecution, David found solace in seeking the Lord’s presence and guidance. In Psalm 31:24, he encourages believers to “Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the Lord!” David understood the importance of waiting on the Lord and drawing strength from His presence.

In Psalm 18:1-2, David proclaims, “I love you, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” David’s intimate relationship with God served as the foundation of his strength. He recognized God as his source of refuge and salvation in times of trouble.

The life of David serves as a testament to the power of strengthening yourself in the Lord. By trusting in God’s strength, seeking His presence, and aligning yourself with His Word, you can overcome any obstacle and experience victory in your spiritual journey.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, teach me to find my strength in You alone. Like David, may I trust in Your power and seek Your presence in times of need. Help me to draw closer to You and find refuge in Your unfailing love. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

God’s Word For Today: Don’t Give Up

Don’t give up. The road may be long, but He is with you, guiding and empowering you to fulfill His purpose for your life.

What Does The Bible Say

“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9

Life is full of ups and downs, challenges and victories. There are times when you may feel tired, discouraged, and tempted to give up. But hold onto the promise in Galatians 6:9, that in due season you will reap if you do not give up. Remember, God is faithful, and He will renew your strength and provide the refreshment you need.

Look at the life of Elijah, a powerful prophet who experienced moments of weariness and discouragement. In 1 Kings 19, after a great spiritual victory on Mount Carmel, Elijah found himself fleeing from the threats of Queen Jezebel. Exhausted and disheartened, he sought refuge in a cave. In that dark moment, God met him and provided the refreshment he desperately needed.

From Elijah’s story, we can draw two key points on how we can become spiritually refreshed in the midst of challenges:

Seek Solitude and Rest: Just as Elijah retreated to the cave, it is crucial for you to find moments of solitude and rest in the presence of God. Set aside dedicated time for prayer, meditation, and reflection. Find a quiet place where you can pour out your heart before the Lord, seeking His guidance, strength, and comfort. In these intimate moments with Him, allow His peace to wash over you and renew your spirit.

Psalm 62:1 says, “For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation.”

Draw Strength from God’s Word: When you face challenges, it is essential to anchor yourself in the truth of God’s Word. Just as Elijah received a word of encouragement and direction from God, you too can find guidance, comfort, and strength through Scripture. Open your Bible and allow the living Word to breathe life into your weary soul. Memorize verses that speak to your situation, meditate on their meaning, and let the promises of God rejuvenate your spirit.

Take heart and be refreshed in the Lord. The road may be long, but He is with you, guiding and empowering you to fulfill His purpose for your life.

Dying Chinese Shaman Sees Jesus In Dreams, Follows Him, and Is Healed

A dying Chinese Shaman sees Jesus in her dreams in a rural village in Northwest China with active persecution of Christians. A popular shaman who consults “demons and darkness.” Doesn’t seem like the makings of a Christian conversion story, does it? But let’s not underestimate God.

Open Doors USA, a persecution watchdog group, reported that Ting, a Chinese shaman that attracted thousands with her “divine counsel,” has become a Christian after seeing Jesus in a dream while on her deathbed. All over the world there have been similar reports of conversions resulting from vivid dreams.

Could God be working in the hearts and minds of his people – even those in far-off, abandoned places – through dreams?

Ting Sees Jesus In Dreams

Ting had a grave illness, so grave that she was unable to consult spirits to answer people’s burning questions anymore. In fact, she was on her deathbed. Not only that, she was in extreme pain and agony. Sleep was her only escape. Little did she expect that this sleep had the power to heal her ailing body and broken spirit.

Here’s Ting’s entrancing description of her powerful dream:

“I was in the back seat of a taxi as my brother drove me towards an endless darkness. But then three men, who were wearing brilliant white robes, approached. But their light was so bright, I couldn’t see their faces. They told me I must make a choice. And as they spoke, two other men wearing black robes invited me to follow them.”

Faced with this choice of eternal consequence, what did Ting do? “I knew in my heart one of the men wearing a white robe was Jesus. So I followed him.” Ting awoke to find her body completely healed. Now lucid, she consciously decided to follow Christ.

Although her decision was clear-cut, it was certainly not easy in a land that intensely persecutes Christians.

Does God Communicate Through Dreams

Believe what you will about Ting’s story, but the fact is that without divine, radical intervention, Ting had no reason to leave her old spirituality behind and follow Christ. These old spiritual practices had been her very livelihood!

While it is clear that not all dreams are divinely-inspired, is it possible that some are? Ancient Christian thought supports this idea. The Philokalia, a compilation of writings by ancient Eastern Orthodox Christian spiritual masters, describes divine dreams as those that “appear to the soul through God’s love” and “do not shock our inward sense … or become threatening.”

Instead, “with great gentleness, [divine dreams] approach the soul and fill it with spiritual gladness.” Because of this, “the soul longs to recapture the joy given to it by the dream.”

A God-Led Revival

Sure enough, Ting’s dream seems to have been a product of God’s love, filling her soul with spiritual gladness. And she’s not the only one to experience something like this. All over the world, knees are bowing before our Heavenly Father.

Right now, God is equipping and empowering missionaries to reach the far corners of the Earth. And even where they don’t reach, God does.

Dear God, I Feel Like Giving Up But I Choose To Hold On To You

Dear God,

Dear God, I want to be honest with You. It’s been pretty hard lately. I feel like giving up. My emotions are going motions. I admit I’m worried about many things. This uncertainty is killing me. I don’t know what will happen in the future amidst this crisis. But I know You are the One who holds us together. So I choose to hold on to You. Even if how I feel tells me to give up, I’d still choose to hold on tight. Because I know You are there. You are my Father, and I need Your help, God. Honestly, I’m scared. But knowing that You are with me is more than enough. Help me take control of my emotions and get rid of these overwhelming thoughts. Encounter me with Your love once again, Lord. I can’t go on without You. I cannot take another step apart from Your love. My heart and my soul need You now more than yesterday. I need You now more than ever. Open my heart, God, just like what You did to me when I first fell in love with You. Refresh me, refine me, make me who you want me to be. All for Your Glory.

I love You, God.

And I’m sorry if sometimes I feel this way. But You say “it’s okay to not be okay.” You say You will never leave me in this process. And you even whisper “I am worth it.” And so I find hope knowing that Your love will sustain me. Trusting that Your love will enable me to overcome storms and challenges in life. Thank You so much, Lord, for Your patience. I cannot really imagine my life without You. Without You, my life is just garbage.

Today’s Message

Oftentimes, in our own limited minds and understanding, we face struggles in our own strength. And sometimes we get overwhelmed with what life has to offer that we suddenly lose sight of God. But is this the right way to face the challenges in life?

Life offers us both joy and pain. However, it’s up to us how we respond to these challenges that will make all the difference. Do we worry instead of praying? Do we complain instead of trusting God? The choice is ours.

So today, remember who you are and remember who God is. You are a child of God. He is your Father who loves you dearly. So find your hope in Him alone. And even when it doesn’t make sense right now, know that He is working behind the scene. Just be still, pray and talk to Him. And witness how it will make wonders in your life!
