Andrew Wommack, the founder of Charis Bible College, delivered a profound message about the immense love of God. He shared that despite living a holier life than many others, God’s love for him was not based on his actions or achievements. Instead, God’s love and acceptance were solely founded on the sacrificial work of Jesus. In his own words, he expressed, “God loves me because of Jesus, not because of what I’ve done.” Jesus paid the full price, and there is nothing people can do to merit God’s favor.
Andrew then recounted his experience visiting a rehabilitation center, where he had the opportunity to address an audience of over a hundred men. These individuals had committed various grievous acts in their lives. He began by acknowledging that he had not engaged in such acts himself. However, he proceeded to share Romans 3:23 with them, proclaiming, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” By highlighting this verse, he emphasized that they were all in the same boat, in need of God’s grace and salvation.

The Good News
“I may have not done some of the things that other people have done, but I still sinned and came short of the glory of God. And I needed a Savior,” he explained.
As he presented this truth to them, they started to realize that they were not so inherently wicked that they were beyond the possibility of having a relationship with God.
Furthermore, he gently reiterated that Jesus did not partially pay the price, but rather accomplished everything once and for all. This remarkable news was announced by the angels in Luke 2:14, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men.” He emphasized that God Himself became human and settled the debt that mankind could never repay.
“There is no wrath from God towards us who had accepted Jesus,” he remarked.
