Andrew Damazio pointed out that “The only time God said ‘it is not good’ is when Christians live in isolation from each other.”

The pastor of The Rose Church argued that Christians are not designed to live in isolation. To prove his point, he referred to the time when God made Adam and Eve.
Genesis 2:18 says, “The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”

Andrew said, “The first time that God ever said ‘It’s not good,’ was not about something He created. It’s about Adam was alone.”
He then led the congregation into a discussion about whether Adam was alone according to the world’s standards.
“He’s not alone. He has nature. He can go outside. There are rivers and mountains,” argued by the nature lovers and hikers.
“He has animals. He has all the animals, he’s named them all,” said the animal lovers.
“And He has God. Before sin, face to face. He’s not alone.”
But Andrew steered them into what God views Adam: “God says, ‘It is not good that you are alone.'”
Power of Community
The pastor’s main point is to help believers embrace the power of community and church.
“So, if you’re a Christian and you’re like, ‘It’s just me and Jesus,’ I’m sorry but it’s not. Because the only time God said, ‘It’s not good,’ is when Christians live in isolation from each other. And the problem is if you are pursuing Jesus, and you’re trying to be like Him, He was not a lone ranger. There was not one time in the Bible that Jesus said, ‘I don’t need people. It’s me and God.”
Andrew continued, “He spent His entire life with people. Every waking moment with people. For us to commit, for us to be part of this radical, amazing, redemptive community. It’s going to take relationships that are committed radically to each other.”
