Adventures in Odyssey continues to delight families
Focus on the Family’s best-loved children’s series, Adventures In Odyssey celebrated its 30th year in 2017 and continues to delight families. Many of today’s parents with young children remember back to their childhood days listening to the series on the radio and are now watching with their own children.
We air Adventures in Odyssey on GOD TV on Saturday mornings at 7.30 am presenting the faith lessons parents appreciate with characters and stories that kids love. The series is targeted at kids of 8-12, but is in fact loved by people of all ages! Help your children know and grow in Jesus and watch alongside them each weekend.
The History of Adventures in Odyssey
In 1986 Focus on the Family set out to produce a high-quality drama series for radio. It aimed to appeal to Christians looking for alternatives to worldly cartoons or simply families in search of wholesome entertainment. The show’s creators, Steve Harris and Phil Lollar conceptualised the animated stories in a small town called Odyssey, somewhere in the US Midwest and set out to chronicle the lives and times of its residents, including John Whittaker and a special ‘soda shop and discovery emporium’ called Whit’s End.
Since its creation Adventures in Odyssey has used storytelling to engage children’s imaginations, while teaching Biblical truth. With over 750 timeless, character-building stories produced and more than 20 million products distributed worldwide through Tyndale House. the series continues to delight and inspire families with its memorable situations and characters.
Written and produced by award-winning professionals, each episode includes original music and film-quality sound design. The series is produced in Hollywood and features voice talent that has appeared in films such as Toy Story, Monsters, Inc., The Land before Time, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Winnie the Pooh, and others.

Adventures in Odyssey is produced by Focus on the Family in Colorado Springs, the global Christian ministry dedicated to helping families thrive. They provide help and resources that enable parents to raise their children according to morals and values grounded in biblical principles. Focus on the Family was founded by Dr James Dobson and is now led by Jim Daly.
In addition to Adventures In Odyssey, GOD TV viewers in the USA can watch the Focus on the Family each weekday at 8.30 am. Hosted by Jim Daly it provides relevant Christian advice on marriage, parenting and other topics with practical resources for every age and life-stage.
