An adorable kid was asked to give a short message to the doctors fighting in this pandemic. However, she ended up praying for them instead.
Four-year-old, Olivia Reyes, is from the Philippines. The country is now in a state of turmoil due to coronavirus. With 3,094 confirmed cases as of writing, the healthcare workers are all hands on deck battling against the virus.
Olivia’s mother, Andi Manzano, is a well-known radio jockey and vlogger in the Philippines. She mostly vlogs about her life, including her kids. On April 2, she posted a video on Facebook of her daughter. She initially asked her to give a short message to encourage doctors. But to her surprise, Olivia initiated a prayer for them.

Praying from the Heart
“Jesus, we pray for all the people that are sick. You’re here for us,” she cutely started the prayer. “We pray that every doctor will save the day for them. And be our helpers who are going to help the sick,” she continued.
She was trying to find the words as she continued to pray from her heart. “And Jesus, please, we pray that everyone doesn’t feel the virus around. And we pray that we have a lovely day tomorrow, in Jesus’ name amen,” she endearingly ended.
Andi made sure that the message and prayer was for all front liners in this pandemic, as she mentioned in her caption, “Not just doctors but the nurses, admin staff of the hospitals, grocery clerks and staff, garbage collectors, delivery drivers, market vendors, security guards, the volunteers.. and you too at home.”
Olivia’s sweet message and prayer is tugging on the hearts of all who have watched her video. We can learn so much from children; especially about prayer. Their innocence and confidence to ask Jesus what for anything without fear of being judged should be our example. Children are truly a blessing from God!
