No one is too broken to be used by God. And this rings true for Greta Armenta, an abused woman who is now a worship leader and preacher of His Word.
Abused Woman
Greta was a victim of abuse and sexual assault growing up for eight years. She recalled that all she knew when she was still young were rape and abuse.
And when she finally told someone about her situation, she hoped they could help her. But they only said, “God is not going to get involved in that.”

“You don’t know how that damaged me,” she told the congregation in one of their worship services. “You don’t understand how much I went years carrying this shame that did not belong to me. Because God did not put that shame over me, people put that shame over me.”

God’s unrelenting love
But then, God broke through. He filled Greta with His love and mercy. He showed her that “even if she were the worst of sinners, He would love her anyway and forgive her.”
In her experience of God, she boldly declared that “God is not in the throne waiting to punish you.”
In addition, she believes that God was saying, “I am here. I have come to be your salvation. I have come to be your redeemer. And there is nothing that I cannot make new if you were just to give it to Me.”
Today, Greta has become a motivational speaker at the Gathering Church in California. She has written many original worship songs and shares them on her Youtube account.
She looks forward to creating more music in the future. “My God is worthy to be praised, and I want to fill every room I step into with worship,” she said.
