A pastor’s wife shared an inspiring story about how God led her to a marriage that greatly helped her heal her past wounds.
A Pastor’s Wife
Andrea Chung, a pastor’s wife, shared how God led her to the man who helped her heal her inner child. She grew up in a very chaotic home with a lot of instability. She had no consistency in her life. So, when they first started talking with her husband, Pastor Will Chung, she wondered if she would be safe knowing that she came from a place without security.
Meanwhile, as they grew closer, she contemplated if she was ready to become a Pastor’s wife. She explained, “I’ve seen my mom work really hard to make ends meet for our family. My dad loves us, but he was just very absent because of ministry. So that’s the picture I had of what it means to be a family ministry.” Because of her past, she thought about the life she would possibly experience with Pastor Will.

Unconditional Love
Furthermore, she mentioned, “The funny thing about William [her husband] is like he’s so oddly like my dad. And I love my dad, but there’s just a lot of things that I was affected by because of my dad. He’s like so similar to my dad, but at the same time, it’s like crazy how all the things that I needed healing from, he embodies.”
Growing up, she had a hard time understanding unconditional love because of the family she grew up with. However, his husband demonstrated to her what it truly meant. She testified, “After being 16 years with him, he is so unconditional. I’m not saying he’s perfect. I’m not saying that he does everything perfectly. But God just knows what kind of person I needed in my life.” She knew that her husband wouldn’t leave her side and because of that, she slowly learned to trust and receive unconditional love.
