A man named Justin shared a wonderful reminder for all single Christians out there. He was asked about the freedom that he enjoyed in his season of singleness. Then, he answered by sharing profound advice that he received from a Christian man when he was in his early 20s. The man emphasized that his seasons of singleness were few and meant to be treasured, encouraging him to take advantage of them.
“You’ll never have more free time to read and explore and travel and get to know the Lord in intimate ways,” he shared.
Eventually, he believed that if he used his season of singleness wisely, it would lead him to a beautiful life.
A Profound Advice
Furthermore, he explained one of the temptations that single individuals experience in the present. Without a romantic partner, they fear missing out on experiences. Additionally, they would think that their lives would only truly begin once they met the partner they prayed for.
Moreover, he highlighted, “I think what we’re missing out on is you’ve got years of becoming who you’re supposed to be and being formed as a man.” After that, he mentioned that single people could use their time to get to know the Lord and the purpose that He planted in their hearts. When they meet their spouse, they will be ready to follow what God called them to do.
Lastly, he concluded, “I think if we skip those years of being formed. Or if we try to skip over them and just long for, you know, those days to be over. That I think we’re really missing a special opportunity… that you’ll never get back.”
