A 7-year-old boy with cerebral palsy saved his entire family after crawling his way into his parents’ room when he heard the carbon monoxide detector go off.
Little Boy With Cerebral Palsy
The 7-year-old hero from Atascocita, Texas, is Michael Martinez. At 27 weeks, weighing three pounds, he was born with cerebral palsy. And because of his condition, he uses a wheelchair to move around. But despite hurdles, the family calls him a “miracle.”

Michael is just like any other kid except that he’s in a wheelchair. Sometimes his parents cry when they see him wanting to walk and run like other kids. But that all changed when they witnessed that despite his disability, he could become a hero. And that his life alone brings miracles for others to continue to live.
Saves His Entire Family
One night, the Martinez family’s carbon monoxide detector went off. But no one heard the alarm except the 7-year-old son with cerebral palsy. His entire family, seven family members, were all asleep. So then he crawled all the way to his parents’ room to tell them.
“I was shaking because I was scared,” Michael shared.
And because of Michael’s quick action, he ended up saving his entire family from what could have been a fatal ordeal. They then discovered that the carbon monoxide came from their stove.
“He’s our little hero,” Angie Martinez, Michael’s mother, said. “He saved our family.”
Meanwhile, Angie and her sister showed some symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning. The other family members are all fine.
If not for the 7-year-old’s efforts, it could have been worse. The boy is indeed their little hero. He is a walking miracle for the family. Michael is such a blessing. Praise God for his life!
