One revival attendee shared that his three and a half hours of driving and nine hours of waiting in line were worth it.
Revival Attendee: Asher Segelken
In a detailed blog, Asher shared his experience at the Asbury revival. From driving almost four hours to waiting in line for nine hours, the 12-hour wait for him was overall worth it.
Moreover, he wrote on his blog, “God is worth a 12 hour wait. God is worth endless prayers. I witnessed 30k people wait in line to worship God. He’s worth it. His sweetness is evident as we sing Draw me close. It’s like a Father playing peek a boo with his kids. He’s not far but he keeps revealing his face in new ways and everyone is overjoyed at every revelation.”
There were many little yet profound moments that had a huge and lasting impact on Aher’s life. In fact, the reason he wrote a well-detailed account was to share those moments when God met not just him but his other co-revival witnesses as well.
“How is God Talking”
Asher further wrote:
“So how is God talking? Through the young. Those still being educated. God has turned the students into the teachers sharing scripture testimonies confession, worship, and prayers. It is truly a wonder to sit in.
To put it in perspective, I have never felt something so divine feel so possible, and feel so natural. The young teach the old that we are abusing the grace of God. That hypocrisy has no place in the church. That confession and testimony need to become the center of spiritual life again. Confession & testimony sparked 11 days of revival so far. USA, Brazil, Ireland are represented in the room right now.

As of right now, we are reminded of the shame God took on so we could be spared from it. And to boot, he defeated death in resurrection. Yet, students are preaching to students across the world! The Gospel is being preached. Repent and be baptized! The kids are being used to further the gospel more in the last 11 days than in the last 50 years. Right now… there’s been an altar call… 40 more join the family of God…in this hour alone. I’m trembling, the entire chapel erupts in celebration as heaven receives more returning to the fold of God. So simple, so pure, so good.”

Being a Revival Witness
Many have shared their testimonies, and more ar still flooding in. This just proves that anyone who had been, or still is, there witnessed firsthand what it’s like to be completely immersed in the presence of God. And when God sees how hungry His people are, His response is always to pour out and satisfy because He is the Living Water and Bread of Life.
Some may not be able to go physically, but know that God’s presence knows no bounds, and He is more than able to pour out on you what He is pouring out at Asbury. Receive your portion wherever you are right now. Pray for your city and country. Pray for God to pour out revival in your nation.
