God immediately answered a 10-year-old child’s specific prayer to save a premature baby who lost her mother while giving birth.
Save a premature baby
Doctor Helen Roseveare testified about one powerful moment she witnessed while she was working at the hospital and while being a volunteer at an orphanage. She was called to the maternity room one night. A mother gave birth but sadly passed away.
The mother left her 2-year-old daughter and tiny premature baby who survived the delivery. Nurses had to stay up all night to keep the baby warm.

10-year-old child’s specific prayer
The next day, Dr. Helen went to the orphanage for her daily prayer time with the children. She asked the children to pray for that tiny premature baby. Among the group of children is a 10-year-old girl named Ruth who prayed a very specific prayer.
“Please God, send us a hot water bottle. My God, it’ll be no good tomorrow, send it this afternoon. If it comes tomorrow the baby would be dead. While you’re at it God, would you send a dolly for the little two-year-old sister so she should know that Jesus really loves her,” Ruth prayed.
Right after her prayer, a parcel came to Dr. Helen that afternoon with a hot water bottle in it. The parcel has been in transit for five months, but God made a way for it to arrive at that exact moment to answer a child’s prayer. Ruth’s prayer for the 2-year-old girl was also answered as a child from Dr. Helen’s Bible class gave a dolly to the two year old girl.
Prayer doesn’t have to be wordy or perfect, but it must come from a heart that is full of faith in the Lord.
